Is Summer Photography a Waste of Time?
The pros and cons of photography in summer when the sun is high and everywhere is crowded
So, really, is summer photography a waste of time? After all, the sun is really too high in the sky most of the day, and a lot of the photo locations you might want to shoot are full of people. And anyway, getting there can be a nightmare because the roads are jammed. As a professional photographer, of course I’m going to say that it isn’t a waste of time.
In fact, it’s really worth the effort. You just have to be a bit more committed and inventive. Like getting out of bed really very early and staying out really late. Or perhaps you can camp out overnight to make it easier to catch both the early morning and late evening light just a few hours apart.
