Photography of people and events

The human world in action; people in their environment

Home » Professional commercial photography » Photography of people and events

Nigel has been involved in the photography of people and events for over 20 years, capturing them in his own documentary style, usually with people engaged in work, sport or celebration. Essentially, he engages with his subjects in their environment, capturing them on their patch, thus ensuring that they feel relaxed and in control.

As a result, his people images constitute informal documentary portraiture. It is a style of photography that is of immense value not only in magazines and books, but also in the workplace for clients who want their work to be captured in an unstaged and informal manner. It’s a style of photography that really ‘seizes the moment’, rather than requiring huge amounts of time and preparation to stage.
