Want to stay up to date with what’s happening at Nigel Hicks Photography?
Course location: In the centre of the city of Bath, North Somerset.
Times: 10am to p.m.
Price: £90 per person.
Note this course is on a Sunday, not the usual Saturday.
The beautiful and historic city of Bath is an urban photographer’s dream, with so much wonderful Georgian/neoclassical architecture spread right across the city and of course especially concentrated right in the city centre and along the banks of the River Avon.
We will spend the day photographing in the city centre, shooting not only the famous views, but also any little cameos/details that strike us on the day. The main emphasis will be architectural photography, but as seen in the context of travel, and some of the photography will also consider street photography techniques.
The course will aim to teach the following skills:
Participants should have at least an understanding of what shutter speed and lens aperture mean, plus a knowledge of how to operate their own camera in order to get at least basic images. Beyond this, the main requirements are enthusiasm, an open mind and a readiness to learn!
Note: Since we’ll be working outdoors, what we are able to do during the day is very weather-dependent. Weather conditions may make it necessary to vary the itinerary.
