A new four-day photography course set up. Feb 2010.

For the first time Nigel will be running a four-day photography course. Set for mid-week dates, it will run 11-15th October 2010, and will be based at the Bossiney House Hotel, near Tintagel on the north Cornwall coast. This will be a mainly coastal landscape photography course, using photo locations ranging from Port Isaac to the south, as far as the cliffs near Bude to the north, as well as the coves and harbours around Boscastle and Tintagel. Click here for full details.

Further course dates confirmed. Jan 2010.

In addition to the dates for the spring course (23-25 April), we have now also confirmed details of our autumn weekend course, running 29-31 October. Based at the lovely Durrant House Hotel, on the outskirts of Bideford in North Devon, this will be a largely coastal photography course, making the most of the area's renowned rugged cliffs and enormous sandy beaches, and ranging from Morwenstow, just inside Cornwall in the west, to Morte Point and Woolacombe Bay in the east. We're taking bookings for both the spring and autumn courses, so click here for details of the spring course (to be based at Bovey Tracey in south Devon), and here for the Bideford-based autumn course.

Details of 2010 courses launched. Nov 2009.

We can now confirm details of our spring 2010 photography course. It will be held over the weekend of 23rd-25th April, based at Coombe Cross Hotel, in the village of Bovey Tracey, on the eastern edge of Dartmoor National Park, south Devon. Details for our autumn 2010 course are just being put together and will be published shortly. We are also planning a new venture, a five-day course, to be held early in the autumn, hopefully somewhere on the north coast of Cornwall. We're hoping this will come together shortly. Iceland images uploaded at last. Sept 2009.

I had a great time photographing all over Iceland during June-July, and selected images were long ago sent off to the publisher. It has taken me a long time to get sample images loaded onto this site, but they are finally there. Click here to see images.

Spectacular Muse concert photographed. Sept 2009.

The giant rock band Muse recently kicked off its world tour with two gigs on the sea-front of their home town, Teignmouth, in Devon, southwest England. Living nearby, I was able to capture the amazing event. To see images click here. To use the images go to www.photoshot.com and type 'B821 Muse Teignmouth' in the home page search box.

Nigel heading off on another overseas photo shoot. June 2009.

Yes, I'm about to head off again on another commissioned photo shoot, this time to Iceland. I'll be there for five weeks, for the first 10 days in Reykjavik, photographing museums, restaurants and hotels. Then I head off into the countryside for three weeks, photographing everything from yet more museums to puffins, glaciers, mountains and rugged coastline. Fingers are crossed for some decent weather. Watch this space for some photos later. I'll be back home in mid-July, so images should be up on this site by August.

Back from the Chile photo shoot. March 2009.

I finally got back to Britain from the Chile photo shoot on 25th March. The shoot was a qualified success - Chile was lovely, but the project was hard work, not helped by ample helpings of rain, a dose of food poisoning and a car break-in (nothing significant stolen). Great landscape in Chile's south, however, with superb mountains and glaciers, as well as a few smouldering volcanoes, one of which blew its lid while I was in the country. I'm now working my way through a mountain of photos destined for the client, but a collection will be posted on the site for everyone to see shortly. Watch this space!

Another overseas photo shoot about to commence.  Jan 2009.

From 20th Jan I will be off on another commissioned overseas photo shoot, this time shooting the southern half of Chile. Scheduled to take five weeks, the trip will cover much of the country lying south of the capital Santiago, all the way down to the islands around Cape Horn. It's a challenging shoot - a bit of a logistical nightmare, actually - but I've been wanting to go to Chile for some time, so this new commission is a great opportunity. Keep a look out for images posted on this site after I get back.
