Location: Isles of Scilly, off the southwestern tip of Cornwall, southwest England.
Price: £450 per person (excludes accommodation and transport to and from the Scillies).

Three nights/four days of photography in the Isles of Scilly, a cluster of islands in the Atlantic Ocean, about 30 miles southwest of Land’s End, Cornwall’s westernmost tip. These islands are renowned for their immense beauty, stunning natural light (even in bad weather!), a beautiful garden, and diverse and marine wildlife.
During the tour we will be based on St Mary’s, the main island, but much of our time will be spent visiting some of the other islands, both inhabited and uninhabited.
Highlights will include:
We will also be photographing rugged coastal scenes on some of the other islands, namely St Agnes, Gugh, Samson and St Martins.

Access to the Scillies is via either the ferry that runs daily (except Sundays) between Penzance (on the mainland) and St Mary’s, or via flights that connect St Mary’s with Land’s End, Newquay and Exeter.
The ferry crossing, aboard the Scillonian, takes about 2 hours 45 mins, departing from Penzance usually at about 9.15am and arriving in St Mary’s at about midday. For the return trip, the Scillonian leaves St Mary’s at about 4.30pm, reaching Penzance at about 7.15pm.
There are regular flights between St Mary’s and Land’s End Airport, taking about 15 minutes, plus less frequent trips between Newquay and Exeter.
Of course the flights are much faster than the ferry, but luggage is severely restricted, which may make problems for anyone bringing camera equipment. There are no such problems with the ferry, of course, but the crossing can be quite rough if unlucky with the weather.
Also be aware that flights are frequently cancelled due to low cloud or fog. If this happens you will be transferred to the ferry, with bus links between the ferry pier in Penzance and your original airport.
Remember that, if travelling by ferry it might be necessary to stay overnight in Penzance the night before travelling to the Scillies, and possibly also on your return.
All the transportation can be booked through Isles of Scilly Travel:
