Charles, this important book gives a step-by-step guide to choosing

film. The book's final section introduces the computer as an essential
adjunct to the DSLR, describing the key features needed in a computer
to be used in imaging, before then going on to describe how to
download images from camera to computer, and how to go about using

A Photographic Guide to Birds of
the Philippines
 |
Published by New Holland
Publishers in 2000. Photographed largely by Nigel Hicks and written by
ornithologist Tim Fisher, this is the first ever book to cover birds of
the Philippines photographically. A gargantuan task, given the
difficulties involved in photographing wildlife in the Philippine
forests, this book, although not covering the country's full species
list, represents an extremely valuable tool in the further understanding
of Philippine wildlife, and serves as a perfect field guide. |

Publishers. A coffee table book, photographed by Nigel Hicks and written by John MacKinnon
(previously of WWF, author of China's panda management plan). This beautiful book

the natural history of this vast country, photos and text cover the natural world from
lowland tropical rainforests of the south to the taiga of the far north, lowland marshes
and woodlands of the east, to the deserts and mountains of the west and the high altitude
plateaus of Tibet. Wildlife covered ranges from butterflies and cicadas to elephants and
tigers, while plants range from tiny primroses to giant dipterocarp forest trees. A
magnificent celebration of China's wild areas and a call to ensure that they survive
forever. |
