Details of the next photography course published. Dec 2008.
We're now taking bookings for the next photography course, which will be held over the weekend of 15-17th May 2009, based at the Coombe Cross Hotel, in Bovey Tracey, on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, Devon. In a departure from the usual format, this course will not be just about landscape photography, but will be more a travel-type photography course, with landscape forming just a part. So, not only will we be shooting moorland and coastal views, but also villages, harbours and boats. Prices are also a little reduced to take account of the cut in VAT. A new commissioned photo shoot. Dec 2008.
I've recently been commissioned to do another overseas photo shoot, for yet another guide book. This one will be Chile, so from mid-January until late February I shall be running around the southern half of that very long country photographing whatever gets onto the shoot list. I'll let you know how it all goes when I get back.
Devon Open Studios exhibition. Sept 2008.
I'll shortly be taking part in an exhibition with members of the arts group Artistic Edge, running 13th-21st September, as part of the annual Devon Open Studios event. The exhibition will be at a lovely garden setting in the village of Dunsford, on the edge of Dartmoor National Park and a short distance west of Exeter. Throughout the exhibition's nine days my greetings cards and prints will be for sale, so come along and find yourself some early Christmas presents, or some great new decoration for the house.

I've finally got an online sales system for my greetings cards and prints up and running, so now it is possible to buy these creations directly from this website. Working jointly with online gallery Tokarta, opting to buy any of the cards or prints shown on this website will automatically lead you through to the relevant page on Tokarta's website, where you will be able to complete your purchase, using your credit or debit card on PayPal.
All my greetings cards and a steadily growing number of prints are available. Online sales of books has yet to be set up: hopefully that will follow shortly.

New course dates announced. July 2008.
Our next landscape photography course will be held over the weekend of 7-9th November 2008, based in the village of Bishopsteignton, nr Teignmouth. Photo locations will range across Dartmoor and the south Devon coast. For details click here. Dates for our 2009 courses have also been put together. The spring course will be 15-17th May 2009, based in Bovey Tracey on the edge of Dartmoor, while the autumn course will be 6-8th November 2009, based at Dartmeet in the heart of Dartmoor National Park. Details for these two courses will be posted shortly.
Devon and Cornwall photo shoot takes over spring. June 2008.
If you thought it took a long time for images of the Caribbean shoot to get onto the website that was because almost the whole time since returning from that trip has been taken up on yet another photo shoot. Much closer to home this time, the shoot was for a guide book to Nigel's home area of Devon and Cornwall. Despite the vagaries of Britain's spring weather, the shoot went quite well, and the whole thing is now in the bag. Hopefully, some sample shots will be posted here shortly.
Caribbean photo shoot successfully completed. May 2008.
Seven countries and 14 islands later, hard drives bursting with thousands of images, an exhausted but very tanned Nigel made it back to Britain from his Caribbean photo shoot at the end of March. Despite very mixed weather, the trip - which took in Barbados, St Lucia, St Vincent & the Grenadines, Grenada, Trinidad & Tobago, and the Netherlands Antilles - was a great success, even if Nigel did run out of different ways to shoot sun-soaked tropical beaches by the end of week two! Spring photography course taking bookings. Feb 2008.
Our spring photography course, taking place over the weekend of 9-11 May 2008 is now open for bookings. Using the south Devon village of Bishopsteignton, photo locations will range around the nearby Devon coast and the hills and valleys of Dartmoor National Park. With the days long and vegetation freshly leafed-out in vivid green foliage, this should be a great weekend of photography. To find out more and too book a place, click here.
Another overseas photo shoot about to happen. Feb 2008.
Hot on the heels of the Kenya photo shoot another overseas trip has been commissioned, this time to the Caribbean. For yet another guide book, this shoot will cover the southern Caribbean islands of Barbados, St Lucia, St Vincent, Grenada, Trinidad & Tobago, and the Dutch Antilles. The trip will start on 18th Feb, and Nigel should return home just before Easter. Watch this space for some great Caribbean shots!
Kenya photo shoot successfully completed, sample photos uploaded. Feb 2008.
Nigel's photo shoot in Kenya, covering Nairobi, Maasai Mara, the Rift Valley and Western Hills as far as Lake Victoria was successfully completed just before Christmas. It was a fairly intense shoot, with rough roads making getting around tiring work. The impending election caused no problems, and Nigel finished the work and left the country before the election took place, thus missing the trouble that has plagued parts of the country since.
