Course location: The hills, valleys and moors of Exmoor, around Lynton and Lynmouth, north Devon.
Times: 10am to 5pm
Price: £90 per person.
Coastal, moorland and woodland landscape photography in an area where beautiful Exmoor meets the sea. We’ll start the day photographing the dramatic rocky and coastal cliff views at the Valley of Rocks, near Lynton. At lunchtime we’ll head down into Lynmouth, and in the afternoon we’ll move to nearby Watersmeet, where we’ll photograph the beautiful woodlands and the River Lyn flowing through it.
The course will aim to teach the following skills:
Participants should have at least an understanding of what shutter speed and lens aperture mean, plus a knowledge of how to operate their own camera in order to get at least basic images. Beyond this, the main requirements are enthusiasm, an open mind and a readiness to learn!
Note: Since we’ll be working outdoors, what we are able to do during the day is very weather-dependent. Weather conditions may make it necessary to vary the itinerary.
